*da-od: an olden-day communal earthen-drinking vessel the size of a baby’s head; these were similar to the image below except that a good da-od was one that has been blackened both inside and outside due to repeatedly burying it in smoldering rice-husk pile obviously not only for its sanitation but most importantly to improve its aroma.
