To Catch a Fish

At the cusp of extinction are sinarapan, buyod and birarawan, three freshwater species of fish that made Buhi famous, the first for its world title as the smallest and the next two for their succulent taste.

With them will go skills of fishermen the likes of whom today’s generation of Buhinons might not be able to see again; the para-idos, the para-sarap and the para-sumbiling.

This piece is for the youth of Buhi, to give them a glimpse of what it was like in our little paradise, for them to understand why the Buhinon keeps coming back to Buhi despite the constant reminder of what he is and where he will return and the roller coaster ride
